Kappa Delta participates in Spring Recruitment as run by University of Richmond Panhellenic Council. We follow all Richmond Panhellenic Policies for recruitment eligibility which include a first semester GPA of 2.7 and attendance at all mandatory Sorority Information Session (SIS) events. Recruitment is a mutual selection process in which potential new members (PNMs) and chapters select each other. Dates and specific information about Panhellenic Recruitment will be updated each year here.
During the fall, PNMs have to opportunity to gather and meet Greek women, including KDs, at SIS events. SIS events provide information about all aspects of Greek life and formal recruitment.
Formal Panhellenic recruitment takes place during the first week of classes after winter break. PNMs will be assigned to a PNM group, led by a Rho Gamma. Rho Gammas are sorority women who have disaffiliated in order to assist PNMs in finding their own chapter; they act as guides and advisors during the recruitment process. The week of recruitment has five parts at the University of Richmond: Go Greek Night, Philanthropy Night, Sisterhood Night, Preference Night and Bid Day! Each night helps PNMs learn about a specific aspect of a chapter and meet their members. The final day, Bid Day, is a chapter favorite: we get to welcome home our new KayDee ladies!
